A Living Ritual of Earth, Flame, and Sacred Number
Step into a moment where the wild remembers its oldest language.
The Serpent Rite captures a nocturnal covenant shaped not by human hands, but by living forces. At the heart of the artwork, a pentagram formed entirely of living grass rises from a moonlit clearing—grown, not drawn. Each of its five points is crowned with a golden candle, their flames steady and deliberate, anchoring the rite in balance and elemental harmony.
At the center burns a sixth ritual candle, enclosed within the powerful coil of a crimson rattlesnake. This serpent is the seventh—the ritual leader—and seven operates here as a sacred seal: the number of guardianship, initiation, and ancient knowing. Its ember-toned scales glow with authority, completing the circle and binding the working in protection.
Moving through the tall, breathing grass are six additional snakes—three rattlesnakes and three garden snakes—weaving through the living geometry without breaking it. Together with the central serpent, they form seven living conduits, a complete circuit of earth magic in motion.
Above the clearing, the second current awakens.
Eleven bats inhabit the fog-laced night—some clinging to the bare branches of watchful trees, others gliding through the air. Eleven, the number of gateways and higher perception, opens the ritual upward. Though mist softens the sky, stars remain visible through the fog, quiet signals of alignment between earth and the unseen realms beyond.
This is not a summoning.
It is not a warning.
It is a rite of sovereignty.
Here, seven seals the magic.
Eleven opens it to what lies beyond.
The land chooses the symbol.
The serpent leads.
The night bears witness.
The Serpent Rite is a powerful piece for those drawn to:
- Earth-based and serpentine symbolism
- Sacred geometry formed by nature
